The Deadly Fryer

Hey,

Today was my day off from the oh-so-exhausting sixth form. A-levels are really starting to take their toll on me and I’ve only been doing them for the last 2 weeks! I thought that today I would be able to relax and have a lie in. Then go on to do all my outstanding work so I can be free from doing it for the rest of the week. Well I can tell you it didn’t go quite to plan. I’ve done everything else other than the things that I had planned out and then some! I helped the luddite Lauren set up her domain and blog today and then after that she thought it would be fun to press the reset button behind the router instead of turning it off and back on, so I helped her input all the stupid TalkTalk ADSL settings back on her router. I saved her life (we all know she can’t do without her computer and internet).

Well the worst thing that happened today was the Deadly Fryer incident. There I was innocently twirling around the contents of the fryer in the kitchen and all of a sudden my wrist lowered and burnt. So my reflexes (damn reflexes!) thought that they would fling my hand upwards causing a spoonful of hot oil to splash on my face. WOW, did it sting or did it sting. Even more disturbingly, a handful of that oil made it’s way into my eye. Well naturally, I bolted from the kitchen  and went straight for the bathroom. Turned on the tap and irrigated my eye out with cold water for about 10mins. I think that hurt more then the oil! Well anyway, I was really really scared that I was going to lose my eye (yes I know, it’s just me overreacting), but thankfully I am fine. Cheek is still stinging though!

Eventful day? More like unbelievable day which was a complete waste. Other then the fact that I rung up to trace the replacement laptop that was to be sent to the house. Such an awkard phone call …. But that’s a story for another day and another post.
