Holidays….

October 24th, 2007 | by Saf |

Hello,

I promised myself that I would post on the blog everyday. Obviously, you all now know that when Saf promises something, it means absolutely nothing. I can’t believe I just used the word ‘absolutely’. I think I’m recovering now. It’s just that I’ve been on the phone to Three (UK mobile network) who have their call centres located in some far away land where the people speak weirdly and overuse the word ‘absolutely’. Any question you ask them, you really are guaranteed the answer, ‘absolutely’. Unbelievably annoying.

So anyway, I haven’t really done much recently. I have a week off now. I was going to catch up on some work but … well … I didn’t.

A mini news update if anyone’s bothered. Mac OSX Leopard (10.5) is being released on Friday! Brilliant! It is of course the best operating system ever. It’s ace. I love it.

And also, the iPhone is going to be released in the UK on November 9th. Wooooo. I want it. It’s so beautiful and Apple! Although I do hate the fact that it is going to be released on O2. That has to be the iPhoneworst network that they could have chosen in the UK and that’s saying something considering that Vodafone also exists here. I have to have a little rant about this. As much as I love Apple, I don’t agree with the choice of network at all. Which is why I for one shall be purchasing the handset and then not taking advantage (or should I say disadvantage?) of the 18 months overpriced and ridiculous contract that O2 will be offering. I’ll either be using an O2 PAYGO SIM or just unlock it and put in a T-Mobile or Orange Sim Card. Oh and guess what I found out today about the Tariffs that O2 have got for the iPhone? They say that you get unlimited data, which is of course what you want on a beautiful device like the iPhone, but it’s not! They have a ridiculous F.U.P (Fair Use Policy). Obviously all networks enforce a F.U.P simply because otherwise some users might take the piss and just overuse the data. T-Mobile cap the data at 1GB which is fair. O2 just take it to a whole new low. They cap it at 200MB. Unbelievable! It’s times like this when I really hate O2. Networks like that deserve to be shot down.

Anyway, I’ll stop rambling now. Need to go as watching recorded episodes of The Bill. In danger of being thought of as being really sad, I must tell you that the only reason I am watching it is due to the gun against the side of my head.

Bye,

Saf

P.S. - I promise to write everyday from this day onwards. :P
