I’m just gonna go straight into my rant…

I was watching an episode of ‘The Gadget Show’ dated 14th July 2008 just a couple of days ago. Reason for watching was because my cousin Asifa (Hi Asifa! and Zain and the Baby and JB!) got me intrigued on the ‘ZPen’ from Dane-elec (which looks really cool and I want it!). So anyway, I was watching it and turns out they were also reviewing the Apple TV made by… you guessed it, Apple.

I’ll cut to the chase, Jason (the reviewer) said that Apple needs to ‘reduce that 4 hour wait’ because it’s ‘just a little bit too long’ when you’re renting/downloading a HD movie. Can you believe it?!?! Blaming Apple! Of course it’s gonna take 4 fucking hours to download a HD movie from Apple when your using shit broadband in the UK! It’s not Apple’s fault but more the fault of the ISP’s. Apple are innovating and churning out beautiful sexy technology to revolutionise the way we do things but the ISP’s are still stuck in the old age, with slow internet or a ridiculously expensive price for moderately fast internet!
Therefore it is not Apple’s fault. If you want a faster download time, get faster internet or download SD content. You can’t download HD movies and expect Apple to have compressed them down to about the size of a SD movie because otherwise it’s no longer HD you fucking pillock. It’s gonna be SD. So blame the ISP’s and not Apple!

In all fairness though, Jason did say that Apple had an exciting product and he is a bit of a mac fan so I’ll left him off. Just this once mind. I won’t be so easily calmed down next time…

Also, Happy Birthday Mum! She’s like a million years old today :p Hehe. I made her a cake! It had strawberry’s in it with loads of chocolate (both milk and white)! I was so proud of it. Tasted and looked very nice if I may say so myself.
Aunty said that I was a right little girl! I’ll take that as a complement… somehow… I guess she meant to say that girls are usually associated with such perfection and beautiful cookery. What can I say? I’m great. Better than a girl. Absolutely brilliant. I’m just a great all-rounder.

Lack of blogging has been due to busy-ness, avoiding talking about going to pick up AS grades and then overly happy-ness from looking at my grades! (none of this makes sense…)

So yea, went to get my AS grades. Was so nervous. Thought I’d failed em all. Turns out I didn’t. And I did pretty good on ‘em! I got AABB! I was very happy. Still very happy. And everyone else did really good as well so congratulations to all you other AS people out there! Bring on A2!

Been doing a week of work at a GP surgery. Funnn. Sat and went on facebook on computer for a while and did a bit of helping out. It was good.

Had the funniest conversation with her. She laughed at my MSN display name and then said, ‘Can I rent you out?’. That’s when I sorta got worried. Turns out she didn’t know what a rent boy was! T’is was hilarious! I cracked up. Then directed her to the actual definition:

Was in Trafford Centre (or Center - never understood the difference between that and can’t be bothered searching so someone point it out to me in the comments - relying on you Humaira!) and now I’ve forgotten what I was writing about and I’ve gotta stop and read what I’ve been writing. Yea, I was in Trafford Centre today and saw Tina (Michelle Keegan) from Coronation Street! I know! She’d obviously been on holiday cos she was so tanned I swear she was darker then me. But I was being the mad stalker and followed her then walked in front then quickly turned back to look at her again! ( Lol, don’t hate me - you know who you are :P)

Oh just to avoid confusion, there’s no link between me being a Rent Boy and Frank’s Cousin and the great big Paki.

I was on the phone to someone and she asked me if I knew what ‘Rent Boy’ meant! Yea, of course, I said, it’s a boy who goes to collect his tenant’s rent. FUCK ME, I’m not thick. Lol. I get paid well.

Frank’s Cousin, Sana. Her comments crack me up. So sweet of her to call me gay and then a dumbass. Awww. I feel fuzzy.

And Humaira is a great big paki bitch. We’ve started to resort to ‘positive racism’. It’s great. Just sorta freaks people out when we’re having a group msn convo and me and Humaira just start pelting each other with racial abuse. Or when I started shouting racist comments over the phone in the Hospital canteen and Emad, Lauren and people around me just stared…

Anyway, haven’t really done much else recently. The building work in house is giving me a headache and making me wake up early. Not liking it. Thankfully, it’s almost finished now.

Adios

Been shadowing several Doctors this week at DDH. I’ve had a GREAT time! And to make it even better - Humaira, Lauren and Emad has a miserable time! I win all round!

It was a lot of fun. I watched the Doctors do a lumbar puncture, got talked through CT scans, X-rays, Drug Charts, Ultrasounds, blood results and had 2 hour lunch breaks! Oh by the way, Lauren actually gave bed baths! Not just watched but actually gave 3, yes 3, bed baths! Digusting! Absolutely loved the million ward rounds that we did, it’s always different and the patients are so nice and the Doctors makes em do funny things to see if they are better. Loved it.

A little summary (more for me so I know what to fill out on the log forms):

Monday
Did ward rounds with the Doctors and went up to ICU with the registrar (Dr Karadi). ICU was great and fun and all touch-screen and techy!

Tuesday
Did ward rounds again (T’is brilliant!). Had a nice chat with the Doctor about my EPQ for the Baccalaureate and she really helped me out and gave me info on my topic (Thyroid).

Wednesday
Looked at haemotology, radiology, CT and ultrasound reports and was talked through them again. Watched the Doctor do a Lumbar Puncture! It was brilliant! Swear there was an excessive use of lignocaine but still, GREAT STUFF! The other Doctor left the registrar to do it himself so I was helping him out and got to open the lignocaine bottles for him and the hugee needles which made me feel very special…

Thursday
Did more ward rounds with the Consultant, Registrar and the Foundation Year 1 Doctor. Nurse talked me through how they take regular obs (b.p etc). Registrar talked to me about a patient and symptoms and what they’re doing to help him. Had a nice long chat about thyroid with one of the Doctors. She told me exactly how I should break up the essay and what to write and the links I can make along with the drugs to treat Thyroid disease and loads more good stuff. Brilliant! Also, a nurse (For Humaira: Saj!) didn’t know how to get the discharge letter up and print it so I pushed him out the way and did it for him. He didn’t say anything, understandable though as I’d be embarassed if a work shadowing student who’d been there for four days knew how to do it when the nurse has been there for aaages. Idiot.

Friday
Did absolutely nothing! Sat around the restaurant and filled out the forms that I needed to hand in. Nice relaxing day. Spent most of it on the phone.

Oh and LOL at the comment left by Humaira’s cousin. Made my day.

Went to Cadbury World today. T’was great fun. Very nice and chocolate-y. I had some melted Dairy Milk with rice crispies, wrote my name in liquid chocolate and sat on a mini ride. Piks:

Went to Birstall on Friday morning after visiting school for bout 30 mins. Went on a bus for the first time ever. Protested A LOT but Jenny forced me on. Didn’t like it and it scared me. It bumps around waaay too much. Anyway, ended up in the cinema for most of the day. Watched Mamma Mia! (Fucking rubbish) and Wall-E (Brilliant!). Only watched Mamma Mia because Bryony wanted to watch it. Watched them both back to back then ended up in Borders for books and Hot Chocolate from Starbucks. Fun.

Slobbed on Saturday/Sunday.

Went to Hospital for Voluntary work today. This old woman loved me! She said (exact words), If only all young people were like you, the world would be a better place. T’was great. I felt good. Then she tried sneaking me a pack of Cadbury’s Eclairs! I had to say no purely because I’m not to accept things from patients (including sex Bryony!). Also felt bad taking things from little old ladies!
But on the other side of the hospital, Humaira seemed to be having fun! Her work experience was going…well…as it should…if she was training to become a bloody cleaner. LOL. :). Apparently she was cleaning windows ledges and doors and emptying bins. Great stuff. Made me laugh. I’ll go see her later this week and cheer her up.

Made some profiteroles. It was great. They look and taste great. Like Heaven. Light Choux pastry, perfect whipped cream and beautiful chocolate on top. Sex on a plate. Anyway, I need sleep.

Went to Alton Towers today. So much fun.

Woke up at some ungodly time like 6:00 or 6:30. I dunno, I was too groggy to actually notice properly. Was woken up by the noise made by wearing a shower cap whilst, you guessed it, showering. Had to cover my hair though, trying to protect the colour!

Coach set off at a weird time as well. I don’t know. Still sorta sleepy.

Got to Alton Towers and had a lot of fun. Me and Jenny went on all the rides together and I was freaking out at them all. Jenny was my rock, albeit my equally scared rock.

Spinball Whizzer was great. Me and Jenny were screaming and swearing excessively.

Runaway mine train just freaked me and Jenny out because the bar wouldn’t secure us properly because we’re small!

Blade was just freaking me out. I entwined my arms through Andy and Jenny who were on either side of me and went to my ‘happy place’.

NEMESIS! I was forced to sit on it! 70 minute queue! When it was out turn I spazzed out and attempted to run away. Finally sat on it and put my arm round Jenny’s and held the metal bars tight and almost cried. lol. Shaking so much but I did enjoy it. Bought a picture of it. I’ll put that on in tomorrow’s post.

Then went on the swings which even though is supposed to be a kiddy ride, scared me! Me and Jenny wanted to go on the squirrel ride but all the 7 year olds made the queue big. So I shouted, ‘WANKERS’ at them and we ran away after corrupting their minds.

In the last week:

1. Smelled of butanoic acid for a whole day. Disgusting.

2. I’m taller than Jenny. Full stop. Official review again in 6 months time.

3. More stuff which I’ve forgotten or can’t be bothered to type on the ickle iPhone.

4. Zainab laughed at a REALLY fat man in Morrisons who was in front of us at the checkout which caused me to double up and tears out if eyes.

5. Me and Zainab have taken it upon ourselves to try out every single desert in Morrisons. I’ll talk more bout this later.

6. Going to Alton Towers tomorrow! Should be fun.

Today was all about having hardly any lessons, skiving the few lessons that I actually had and embracing the childishness inside us (admittedly, the childishness happens almost everyday…)

So I’ve had 3 hours of frees in which I was incredibly bored.

Plus an hour and 10 minutes for Lunch in which me, Zainab and Tim started screwing up tissues, dipping them in water and then throwing them at people across the common room and those opposite us. 50 points extra if you got their face! Me and Zainab were level in points. Humaira + Rob were my targets. Andy let me have a free shot at his face to get me some extra points! Thanks Andy!

Went to House Music which was completely rubbish because people were singing with a CD and yocouldn’t actually hear them.

Went late to Biology in which we messed around and literally ran around the room in the name of phytoplankton…

Then me and Zainab skipped Maths to go watch House Music but this time it was funny because Chris presented it! Hilarious. He started singing Barry Manilow - ‘Mandy’! Zainab shouted ‘OFF OFF OFF OFF’ and then the whole hall started to join in. Zainab = not nice person! lol

Oh yea, the title. It refers to Qudsiyah. She works at Sainsbury’s on the tills. She has to ask for ID if someone buys alcohol and they look under-age. So someone bought a bottle of Appletizer and she’d never seen Appletizer before! She asked the guy for ID and the guy said, ‘Are you joking?’ To which Qudsiyah replied, ‘You’re clearly under-age’!!!!!! Can’t believe she asked someone for ID to buy a bottle of Appletizer! Only Qudsiyah could do this. I’ve got a picture for you:

Finally, After school was weird. Humaira stayed behind. We went to Library because I wanted to print something (never actually got round to it) and Sarah and Helen were having this huge argument. It was très funny. Me and Humaira just felt uncomfortable and Humaira turned the other way and started laughing! I was biting my lip trying not to burst out into laughter!
